About Us:


We are Envision Care & on our way to becoming an Ofsted Registered 3 bed home for young people with EBD based in the Stevenage, Hertfordshire area.


We already have a great team in place and are now looking for a flexible, committed, and enthusiastic individual (s) who will share the same passion for the children and young people as we do, to provide Waking Night Shift Support.

Our organisation takes pride in the service provided and we are committed to the development of the children.

We have an experienced and qualified team in place to promote our ethos within the home, and this will be evidenced throughout the care we give, and that the young people are at the heart of all our decision making whilst placed with us.


  • To make an essential contribution to the normal development of young people through providing a healthy lifestyle, a variety of appropriate activities and a consistent caring adult role model.
  • To have safeguarding at the heart of everything you do & to know the current guidelines/legislation around Safeguarding, also to be confident when reporting & recording a concern.
  • You will complete a robust & detailed induction with excellent training, resources and additional courses where needed.
  • To contribute to and implement an individual's care plan especially when handing over to the morning staff coming on to their shift, also ensuring all documentation is up to date and communicated to the staff team where appropriate so it can be implemented into their care plan and other documentation where needed.
  • You are to promote 'Equality & Diversity' within the home & to always be sensitive to the needs of the individual young people, considering their race, creed, religion, sexuality, and culture.
  • You will always be available to listen to the young people's views & feelings that includes monitoring their behaviour and recording any significant events following the home's Policies & Procedures in place.
  • You will promote & build positive relationships when working alongside all external agencies such as education providers & health professionals etc, also building positive relationships with the parents, carers, Social workers and any other appropriate persons involved in the care and wellbeing of a child or young person.
  • To promote professionalism working to the highest standards within the team and providing the highest standard of care towards the young people in line with the Home's Statement of Purpose and Policies & Procedures in place
  • To be responsible for your deployment whilst on duty to ensure that the work in the home is appropriately undertaken or delegated/communicated on to the next shift.
  • To provide support to the Team Leader and Registered Manager, which may include cover in the absence and annual leave of colleagues.
  • To be able to work a mixture of shifts which will include Night shifts, Weekends & Bank Holidays.
    (Please note this will include Bank Holiday's such as Easter, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve. These will be on a rotational basis)

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Depth of experience in Residential Child Care including profound knowledge of Ofsted's Quality Standards within The Children's Home Regulations 201
  • Recent and relevant experience working within a Children's Residential home.
  • Understanding the safeguarding regulations, to feel confident with the processes of recording & reporting any concerns whilst working together to safeguard young people.
  • Must have a good history of experience in a care environment.
  • Be able to demonstrate a clear commitment to continuing with your professional development within the home.
  • You must feel confident to work alone where/when necessary.

  • Show willingness to complete NVQ3 in Residential Childcare after probation period is confirmed.
