As part of the Sports Education coaching team, you will lead the delivery of a bespoke Sports Education programme within Primary Schools and Early years settings in Torbay and surrounds.

MAIN DUTIES

Lead the delivery of Early Years Fundamental Movement programme to a variety of participants of varying ages from 1 years to 5 years and various abilities.

• Ensure that an individual child centred approach is taken to physical, cognitive and emotional development.
• To be a positive role model at all times and lead the delivery and evaluation of each pre designed lesson within the allocated SportyMini's Programme.
• Provide qualitative feedback on sessions with recommendations for improvements and contribute ideas and solutions on all areas of SportyMini's programme.
• To monitor and evaluate continually all sessions and adapt future delivery to cater for different ability ranges by adopting a differentiated and inclusive approach to coaching.
• Maintain and update accurate onsite records of all children participating in each programme.
• Liaise with nursery managers and staff to provide feedback on the progress of children during each session.
• To involve support teachers, parents / carers, nursery staff and any other help available at each session.
• Work with Nursery staff to set up and dismantle sports equipment required for the session. Prior to the arrival and following children's departure you must observe all Health and Safety requirements

A little about YOU:

• You are Fun, bubbly, and reliable. You love being surrounded by children and understand the value of physical education for children.
• You have had physical education or sports coaching experience, and are fit, active and have a passion for sports and physical activity
• You are available at least 1 morning or afternoon on weekdays 912pm or 24pm a week and for 2 hours on the weekend
• Have a DBS, that is registered on the update service
• Have a level 2 or 4 Sports Coaching Qualification

Part-time hours: At least 3 hours per week
- this will increase depending on your availability

• A car or ability to travel without public transports is required, as some of the setting we work at are out of the way.
