We require a Fleet Controller to cover an existing workload within a major police force, based in Sidcup.

This is an interim position for 6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload.


Role Purpose:


  • This is an exciting opportunity to develop yourself towards the pivotal role of Fleet Controller for our clients' fleet services based at Marlowe House in Sidcup, Kent.
  • The aim of fleet services is to 'deliver a fitforpurpose, available, and flexible fleet, while supporting our users and achieving overall value for money'.
  • Our client is currently exploring options to support the acceleration of decarbonisation to achieve Net Zero Carbon status by 2030.
  • You will be working with a small, dedicated team responsible for making best use of their fleet of 5000 vehicles, 1000 pedal cycles and 25 marine vessels.
  • Fleet Services provides professional fleet solutions in support of all operational policing requirements across the force in the most costeffective way and is responsible for the entire lifecycle management of fleet assets.
  • You will play an essential role within the Customer Relationships team to deliver an excellent customer experience. This will involve undertaking effective customer engagement with our users across the force, managing availability and utilisation of vehicles,and providing analytical support to drive improvement and performance.
  • The role will meet operational demands to help ensure a safe, fitforpurpose and available fleet in the most efficient and costeffective way to keep London safe.

Skills required to be successful in the role:

  • Being confident working collaboratively with both internal and external Stakeholders.
  • Supporting the Customer Relationships team in the provision of a safe, available and fit for purpose fleet.
  • Building strong working relationships at all levels, working with customers to identify and implement service improvements.
  • You will be the first point of contact for customer enquiries to ensure services meet or exceed expectations.
  • You will support the Customer Relations Team to develop innovative operational improvements and deliver against agreed Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, with the ability to present accurate information to both internal and external customers.
  • You will need an ability to develop strong working relationships, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

This role offers a competitive salary of
£18.72 per hour PAYE (Umbrella rate available)and you'll be working via
