Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Haematology or Oncology nurse with chemotherapy administration skills & expertise; communication & time management skills; familiar with working in an outpatient chemotherapy setting who can demonstrate an awareness of evidence based practice along with a commitment to providing an excellent patient experience- Liaise appropriately with all key members of the multidisciplinary team & service users
Act as a role model and mentor, promoting excellence through practice & taking responsibility for supervision & development of all staff including student nurses & support workers, providing support, advice & training
Support the Lead Nurse in the day to day running of the unit, looking at staffing, dealing with any issues, ensuring the unit is well lead.
The post holder is responsible for the management of the Nursing Unit/Department during the shift, including the organisation of the Nursing Unit/Department activities and the management of staff and resources.
The post holder will support the Lead Nurse and Matron in developing and monitoring services and the quality of care experienced by patients.
