Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, incorporating a variety of teaching methodologies to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their progress and development.
  • Stay uptodate with emerging trends and advancements in the Computing and IT field, incorporating relevant industry practices into the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices within the department.
  • Provide pastoral support to students, addressing any concerns or challenges they may face in their studies.
  • Contribute to the college's enrichment program by organizing relevant extracurricular activities and industry partnerships.

Requirements:


  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Computing, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • A strong command of programming languages, software development methodologies, and networking principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom, motivate students, and create a positive learning environment.
  • Familiarity with assessment methods and techniques, and the ability to provide constructive feedback to students.
