DigiHaul is a new UK-based digital freight business with the aim to become the leading digital road freight platform provider.

Nine times out of ten when you see a heavy-duty vehicle they are not at full capacity. When heavy-duty vehicles are not at full capacity, they throw unnecessary CO2 into the atmosphere.


Our platform creates a Digital Network that enables loads to be delivered more efficiently, at a better price and with greater quality than ever before.


By successfully matching carrier capacity with available shipper loads in the platform, value is generated, promoting more transactions on the DigiHaul platform for optimisation and to create a virtuous cycle.

About you


You are someone who enjoys a fast paced, dynamic work environment and who excels in quick problem solving and has a keen eye for detail.

You are able to work tactically and think strategically as the business rapidly scales.

You understand how integral you are to success and future of DigiHaul and the part you play in transforming an industry.


Responsibilities:


  • Day to day management of a team for transactional charging through internal and external business sales
  • Individual route margin management & KPI presentation
  • Managability of operational control of agreed transactions from collection through to delivery and POD return
  • Tactical entrepreneurial improvisation on a route by route basis for the Ad hoc and last minute request market
  • Customer route negotiation and carrier solution negotiation on a route my route basis
  • Grow the external business via ad hoc requirements lead generation & cold calling
  • Manage the contracted business and external contracts including review cycles, issue resolution and organic business growth
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with all sites, key stakeholders, suppliers and customers
  • P&L responsibility for transactional activity including operational performance
  • Identify target areas in the sub contract industry to feed the new business pipeline
  • Develop and build robust relationships with customers and carriers
What do you need?

  • A high level and advanced understanding of the UK&I Transport industry
  • A high level of open and closed book operations
  • Experience in dealing with 3rd party sub contractors
  • Purchasing and sales
  • Knowledge of P&L
  • Microsoft office skills specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Geograhical knowledge of the UK&I
  • Good telephone communication skills
