Description of Vacancy
We have an exciting opportunity to train as a Business Administration Apprentice.

You will be supporting our friendly and motivated team in all aspects of running a busy office with a focus on supporting our HR manager.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity for an ambitious individual.

  • Manage and maintain executive calendars scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Handle correspondence and communication
  • Prepare documents and presentations
  • Prepare agendas and meeting materials
  • Assist with general running of the office
  • Ensure deadlines are met
  • Conduct research and gather data
  • Organise and maintain electronic and hardcopy filing systems
  • Support managers and employees in procedures, personnel issues and recruitment
  • Assisting with administration for training and development programmes
  • Organising and maintaining personnel records
  • Assist with invoicing and queries.
  • Adhoc duties

Wage
£211.20 per week


Hours
Monday to Friday - optional hours 8am - 4pm or 8.30am - 4.30pm
30 minute lunch break each day (unpaid)
20% paid time during working hours is given to complete training, referred to as "Off the Job Training"


Skills Required:


  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Be able to work independently with mínimal supervision

Qualifications Required

Training Provided


On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard - Business administrators have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviors that can be applied in all sectors.

This includes small and large businesses alike, from the public sector, private sector and charitable sector.

The role may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services.

Business administrators develop key skills and behaviours to support their own progression towards management responsibilities.


Additional Detail
As of 1st April 2023, the NMW for Apprentices is £5.28 per hour.

This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship.

For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
