Knowledge Management Support


An exciting position for a Knowledge Management Support Administrator has arisen for my client, a large global FMCG organisation within their R&D function.


  • Pay Rate: £ Per hour
  • Length: 8 months
  • Location: Remote
  • Days/Hours per week: 20 hours per week

Key Responsibilities.

  • Share-Point
  • Own and manage Share-Point site which hosts Corporate R&D Digital Capabilities (CRD), Corporate Quality (CQT) and Quality Leadership team (QLT) content plus crosssegment content (e.g., Standards, xsegment knowledge, sub team knowledge).
  • Teams own the R&D Digital capabilities team site and update with any requirements. Audit for useability/updates


  • Training records

  • Own and ensure the joint CRD/CQT team's Training library and records are up to date (records required for external audits). Also own the CRD Power-Apps for the CRD team (separate list) and any updates required.


  • Knowledge audit

  • On a semiannual basis, audit the knowledge base to ensure that updates are made, and that knowledge is organised and permissions are set correctly.


  • Knowledge management expertise

  • Be a conduit for any knowledge management conversations to drive consistent, synergistic activities among the team. Standardised where possible the knowledge use and storage locations.


  • Connected quality

  • Resource for connected quality as required for knowledge management expertise.
  • Community of Practice (COP)
  • Run the R&D KM COP (possibility) on a quarterly basis with representatives from the segments.


  • Other

  • All other assignments as directed by manager related to knowledge management

Education & Professional Qualification
BSc or BA in life science or veterinary science, or experience working to this level.


Knowledge/Experience

  • Experience supporting a Share-Point/Teams environment and ability to support users and help them maintain their knowledge management areas
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral with an ability to communicate complex science to nontechnical audiences.
  • Sound decision quality, critical thinking, and judgement skills
  • Project Management managing the users within the team to support their knowledge and audit/make sure we are continuing to update as we should be. Needs good
  • Peer relation skills essential and the organisational agility to get things done through both formal and informal networks
  • A high level of energy, motivation, and drive for results
  • Knowledge and experience with Share-Point and Teams environment ability to support and maintain multiple Share-Point/teams sites and recommend changes as required
  • Be able to update team on any changes required create Share-Point pages, monitor access and be the owner of the site
  • Ensure permissions within Share-Point are set and followed (maintain security as required)
  • Work with other teams that use our site to ensure they can use the site as they need and are updating properly
  • Audit of Share-Point/teams to ensure we are following the rules we setup for the team
  • Setup and accommodate Knowledge Management Community of practice possible as well
