Abbey Precision Ltd is a precision engineering company based in Bradwell Abbey, Milton Keynes, that specialises in high precision component manufacture primarily for the motorsport, automotive and military sectors.

Abbey Precision employs 50 people across two shifts.

We are a busy, forward thinking company investing heavily in automated plant and technology to maintain our position as a key supplier.

We are looking to recruit a lead storesperson to work in our busy stores area in the business. There is an assistant storesperson in post plus a delivery driver. This role may involve early starts on occasions, and some late finishes.

ROLE and DUTIES:

To maintain highs standard of storeskeeping

- labelling materials and keeping the stores area tidy

To undertake deliveries in the locality using company vehicles.
To help maintain stock levels of raw materials and packing materials.
To assist with the packing, labelling and dispatch of products.

REQUIREMENTS:

Computer literacy.
Good communication skills.
A full drivers license, with 3 penalty points or less.
Good eye for detail, and an accurate and careful worker.
Good levels of numeracy and literacy.
Experience of stores work an advantage.
Knowledge of types of metals and plastics from a stock keeping perspective an advantage.
An interest in engineering.
Willingness to work additional hours when required.

, 40 hours per week, 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. There may be some flexibility in these timings. The person appointed will be required to complete deliveries outside of normal hours from time to time, sometimes at short notice.

Salary:
£13.00 per hour
, plus overtime when available. Overtime is paid at 1.5X.
Abbey has a generous pension scheme and pays profit related bonuses.
