About the Team
The Revenues & Benefits service has been outsourced. We are a small team and have to monitor the delivery of the contract by our partners. We have to ensure the delivery partner provides a quality revenues and benefits service to the council.


We have to ensure that the delivery partner meets KPIs and key controls for the Revenues & Benefits service in the contract, whilst assuring compliance with appropriate council policies, legislation and best practice.


We will have to promote and facilitate a productive working relationship with the delivery partner, maintaining a clear focus on service delivery to the council, and advocating and representing the service area.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Dealing with all correspondence in 10 working days or in line with the Council's standards.
  • Completing the 10% statutory checks in a timely fashion.
  • Work closely with the delivery partner to get the best outcomes for the residents of Hounslow. Carry our customer surveys when required, listen to calls on a weekly basis.
  • When required deal with "Tell Us Once" requests.

Your Skills:


  • Have good customer service skills.
  • Have good listening skills.
  • Be able to write a good letter.
  • Be able to show empathy and also challenge when the need arises.

Essential For the Role:


  • Must have worked in a Revenues & Benefits position previously. At least two years.
  • Be familiar with the Northgate system and Anite.
  • Basic DBS check is required.
