Diggerland Devon (Cullompton)


Purpose:

You will be based at our Diggerland Devon site near to Cullompton and will be required to assist with, and also be directly responsible for, a diverse range of tasks.

Our Diggerland Parks have seasonal opening, but require year-round maintenance for us to deliver the high standards that our customers expect.

You will assist with tasks such as grass cutting and be directly responsible for a range of other tasks including basic machine maintenance across a wide range of machines types from ground care equipment to excavators.

We work as a team and it is important that you are prepared to work in a team environment where working together and supporting others in their work is essential.

Formal qualifications are not required, but we will expect you to be able to demonstrate an aptitude for these types of tasks and also some relevant work experience.

Most importantly, we are seeking an individual with a positive, 'can do' attitude.

There may be some requirement to interact with visitors to our park and we will expect that you are always polite and helpful in these interactions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Working on a variety of property and machinery maintenance tasks to include:

• General ground care work, including grass cutting
• Maintenance and repair of wooden structures including fences
• Cleaning and repair of static structures such as climbing frames
• Inspecting, greasing and cleaning machines
• With appropriate training, basic machine maintenance including oil changes
• Moving and refuelling machines as required
• Other work as directed by the General Manager

Skills/Qualifications:

• Dedicated and hard working
• An aptitude for working with machinery
• Experience of property maintenance or ground care work
• Full UK driving licence

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekend availability
