Description

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide 121 and group Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance sessions to students in local academies; keeping accurate records and evidence of interventions.
  • Management and coordination of Year 11 Progression, early identifying potential NEET students, booking careers interviews, liaising with Careers Leader, Tutors, Parents and FE providers to ensure 100% progression success.
  • To exercise a commitment to the academies mission statement and stated ethos including the equal opportunities policy, health and safety policy and all other current academy policies
  • To work some evenings during open evenings, parents evenings and whole school events.
  • To undertake any other duties or tasks at the reasonable request of the Line Manager.

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:


  • A nationally recognised careers advisor qualification postgraduate diploma or Level 6 in careers guidance, (NVQ 4 holders will be considered with the expectation they will complete Level 6 qualification within the first year).
  • Experience of delivering professional advice and guidance to young people in an educational setting.
  • Good regional knowledge of job market, apprenticeships, support networks, referral networks.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to motivate and build rapport with young people.
  • Flexibility, adaptability and innovation.
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work unsupervised
  • The ability to manage your own caseload and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
As this job involves working with young people, applicants would be expected to hold a full enhanced DBS certificate.

Competitive, negotiable package

Part-Time / Full-Time / Freelance (20 to 40hrs negotiable)


Salary:
(Actual) - £21,000 - £26,000 + Pension

April 2023 start, interviews to take place week commencing 3rd April 2023
