Nationwide Structures Ltd is seeking a full-time Foreman to join our team in Stockton-on-Tees.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is self-motivated, has a strong work ethic, and enjoys working in a team environment.

The foreman is responsible for facilitating the activities that are carried out within the manufacturing facility.

Primary duties will include leading a team to ensure the programme and deadlines are met whilst adhering to the health and safety rules.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly production meetings plan workflow to ensure adherence of programme and meeting of delivery dates
  • Maintain sufficient stock of consumables and PPE within the workshop submitting order requests to purchasing dept.
  • Monitoring manufacturing and production process by working closely with Production Manager
  • Conducting technical reviews with the Quality Manager and production manager when required
  • Maintaining registers and records and always ensuring they are available for viewing on request
  • Reporting any safeguarding issues within the shopfloor environment
  • Resolving any conflict / issues with employees
  • Providing a safe space for employees to approach with any problems
  • Identify and report any production issues to production manager in good time to allow the required problemsolving actions to take place
  • Liaising with HR advisor on any employee issues requiring disciplinary routes to be taken
  • Contribution to recruitment & induction of new starters
  • Maintain smooth workflow throughout all processes within the workshop, allocating work to platers and welders
  • Contribute to the improvements and developments of the processes on the shopfloor
  • Liaise with health and safety advisor to maintain a safe working environment, adhering to relevant health and safety legislation & regulations


Experience working within a team and in a team leader role is required for this role as well as having strong problem solving skills.

Knowledge / experience of working within the steel construction / manufacturing industry would be desirable due to the nature of the industry.


  • 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
  • 4 day standard working week
  • 40 hours per week
  • Overtime available

Salary:
£16.50 per hour


Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • Overtime
