Venatu Recruitment are working on behalf of our client in BD19 on the outskirts of Bradford / Leeds. looking for a Warehouse Shift Manager.

The company is easily accessible by motorway links and public transport options.


The Warehouse Shift Manager will need to work 2 shifts on a weekly rotating basis, the operational times are Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm, and 2pm -10pm.

Friday 6am-12noon, and 12noon

  • 6pm.
The role is based on a 40-hour week with a starting salary up to £35k.

The Employee

We are looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Warehouse Shift Manager to join our fast paced and ever-growing team. One skill we are looking for is the ability to motivate people / teams and implement positive change. Being a creative and positivethinker is key to this role.

A background within warehouse management and a F.M.C.G. environment is desirable, possessing good IT skills, be comfortable with Microsoft Office and be particularly confident with Excel spreadsheets.

The Role


The Warehouse Shift Manager will be responsible for the following tasks - Planning and operational management of all warehouse activities including, goods in and out, storage, inventory, picking and dispatch, reporting directly to the Distribution Director.

You will need to motivate, mentor and encourage all staff to achieve efficient and effective working practices. This will also ensure KPI and service levels are consistently achieved, creating a more efficient and effective distribution centre.

Stock accuracy must be maintained at all times, using P.I. routines, investigating results using route cause analysis, in conjunction with the PI Team.

On a daily basis you will need to review performance data reports and investigate anomalies.

You will also need to review and maintain on a regular basis the S.O.P. procedures, ensuring that all personnel are trained in accordance with them.


You will need to ensure that all departments operate in accordance with the Company Policies and that safe working practices are always observed.

Making sure all departments follow the procedures in and effective way to deliver maximum efficiency, performanceand results.


You will be responsible for identifying and training personnel to cover key positions within departments during periods of absence and holidays.


You will need to review the payroll system on a daily basis, to monitor absence, confirm holiday requests, checking and correcting payroll anomalies.
