A Lead Alternative Fuel Refit Specialist who supports our UK Team with extensive knowledge of alternative fuel/power and refit projects.

As an international organization, you will have good oral and written knowledge of English.

The role

  • Responsible for providing support and guidance to clients, national administrations (flags)
  • Providing support for colleagues on the impact of retrofitting alternative or additional fuel/power systems on existing ships (Class/Statutory).
  • Develop related guidance material and have significant input into the development of associated Technical Reference Material for Surveyors.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent of
  • Significant survey experience in new constructions, existing ships, dockyard refits and maintenance, and equipment and component.
  • Capability of making technical decisions
  • Indepth knowledge of Classification and Statutory Conventions
  • Experience in LNG, gaseous, and/or low flash point fuels as well as decarbonization
