Key Responsibilities:

Student Support:


  • Provide oneonone or small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and strategies to address specific learning goals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Classroom Assistance:


  • Collaborate with teachers to create a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of teaching materials and resources.
  • Support teachers during lessons, ensuring the inclusion of all students in class activities.

Behavioral Support:


  • Implement behavior management strategies in collaboration with the school's policies.
  • Monitor and address behavioral issues, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff regarding student progress and behavior.

Inclusive Education:


  • Work closely with the Inclusion Coordinator to promote an inclusive approach to learning.
  • Attend relevant training sessions to enhance understanding of inclusive teaching practices.
  • Advocate for the needs of students with diverse learning requirements.

Assessment and Progress Monitoring:


  • Assist in assessing student progress, noting achievements, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student development and achievements.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement strategies for continuous improvement.

Communication and Collaboration:


  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Participate in regular meetings with teachers, special education staff, and other support personnel.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive school community.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract


Salary:
£11.00-£17.00 per hour
