Salary:
£20,258 FTE (£8,869 pro rata)


We are seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant to join us at the Nottingham Academy - Greenwood Road Campus.**
Working Hours will be Monday-Friday 9.45am-2pm with 30 minutes unpaid break.

The role:


The successful applicant will provide support to the Catering Manager, ensuring that all catering services are of the highest possible standard.

You will be required to prepare meals and provide a friendly and efficient service to all staff and pupils.

Working as part of a dedicated catering team, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent hygiene and health & safety practices
  • Good organisational ability
  • First class communication skills
  • Experience in preparing and serving food, with school kitchen knowledge being desirable


have previous catering/cooking experience and will be expected to assist in preparing and cooking daily menu items following the government nutritional guidelines.

Hold a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.

Have an NVQ 2 in Food production or be willing to work towards this.

Have knowledge of Government Nutritional Guidelines and Allergy Awareness.
