Henderson FM is a multi-faceted, multi-disciplined, Maintenance, Planned work, project, and Compliance provider.

As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a Qualified, and Enthusiastic Junior Estimator to join our established team.

Based from our Head Office in Sittingbourne, we operate for Commercial Clients and on MOD Sites throughout Kent and Surrey.

£20-30k per annum depending on skills and experience


Skills required

• The ability to work under pressure to meet set goals, budgets, and deadlines
• Proficiency with the standard Microsoft suite and other estimating software
• Proficient with bill of quantities, NRM format would be beneficial
• The ability to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates
• The ability to manage time well and multitask
• Strong understanding of the commercial construction process
• Analytical skills
• Attention to detail

Roles and responsibilities

• Researching the cost of items such as materials, transport, labour and equipment
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with contractors and vendors
• Getting quotes from suppliers and contractors within a specified time frame
• Assessing the risk levels associated with a project
• Preparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for work to be done
• Assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of buyers
• Ensuring the tender process is followed from inception to delivery
• Any other tasks required by the business to facilitate smooth operations

Salary:
£20,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Sittingbourne: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
