About The Role:


We are looking for a new member of our friendly Communications and Engagement team to help us to tell the story of our National Lottery funding in Scotland.

Line managed by a Communication and Engagement Manager, you will:

  • Raise the profile of our work by sharing news of our funding awards with the media
  • Reach out to a wide range of grant holders to identify and write up news stories and case studies
  • Repurpose written content for both traditional media and our digital channels.
  • Help us deliver our Scotland specific and UK wide integrated communication campaigns


The team also provides assistance to our eight funding teams which means you will work closely with funding colleagues to help with branding, grant holder media enquiries and other requests, as and when required.


This is a varied role but a rewarding one within a creative team that upskill one another and work closely as part of a varied communication mix.

Location:
The team works between the Glasgow office, at home and out in the community meeting projects.


Essential Criteria

  • Experience of working within media relations or PR.
  • Writing skills experience of writing succinct and accurate copy or content to deadline and the ability to adapt your writing for different platforms or audiences.
  • Ability to manage a busy and diverse workload against challenging deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of Scotland's media landscape

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of helping to deliver multimedia campaigns
  • Experience of using social media for storytelling
  • Good knowledge of the Scottish third sector and an external and political awareness
  • Experience of sharing skills, knowledge and creative ideas as part of a team
