We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Audit/Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team.

Join a reputable and well-established firm of Chartered Accountants specialising in providing a wide range of accounting, auditing, and financial advisory services to clients across various industries.

Location:
Elgin (with Hybrid working)


Hours:
Monday to Friday, 09:00 hrs - 17:00 hrs

What Will You Do?


As an Audit/Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting managers in conducting audits, preparing financial statements, and management accounts, and providing essential accounting support for clients.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and professional development within the field of accounting.


Key Responsibilities:

Assist in Auditing: Conduct audit fieldwork, including examining financial statements and verifying the accuracy of financial records. Prepare audit working papers and documentation.

Accounts Management: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and management accounts.

Management Accounts: Create insightful management accounts, helping clients make strategic decisions based on financial data.

Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients, building strong relationships and providing exceptional service.


What We're Looking For:


Qualifications:
HND/Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance. A relevant professional qualification (CA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or similar) is an advantage but not essential.


Experience:
Proven expertise in working on audits, client interaction, and familiarity with IRIS and, Mercia.


Qualities:
Attention to detail, ethical behaviour, effective communication, adaptability, client-centric mindset, and a collaborative spirit.
