CyberSecOps Team Lead
Reading/Hybrid working
£60K-£67K
My client, who are a large financial services organisation, are looking for a Cyber Security Operations Team Leader to join their team.
The role will involve managing a team of Operational Analysts and their outputs, ensuring they're supported and mentored throughout with the status quo, and by breaking barriers together.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Operational Security Analysts of various grades and skills.
- Ensuring that the Company's objectives regarding Information Security are met and that it fulfils its legal, contractual and businessrelated requirements for data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Develop strong and positive working relationships throughout the Company.
- Support, maintain and implement policies, standards and procedures.
- Identify areas where security should be improved, through compliance and risk assessments, in order to reduce risk to core business activity.
- Undertake or support periodic testing and auditing to demonstrate that security controls in place provide a level of data protection commensurate with business requirements.
- Ensure that new projects and changes, and any implementations of 3rd party products and services, adhere to security policies and infrastructure standards.
- Participate in governance and oversight activities for the company's technology portfolio, particularly those which are part of the security infrastructure.
- Work with monitoring analyst and automated tools to identify anomalous activity, raising issues as appropriate, making recommendations to resolve, and tracking to remediation.
- Maintain, and action, when necessary, an Incident Response Plan to minimise the disruption of securityrelated incidents.
- Assist with delivery of the Information Security training and awareness programme.
- Ensure that major projects are provided with appropriate and effective change management support to deliver their objectives to agreed budgets and deadlines.
- Ensure that projects involving the Function's resources are appropriately prioritised.
Skills and experience
- Strong planning and organisational skills and the ability to work to a deadline
- Ability to develop and sustain relationships with internal and external parties
- Effective communication skills
- Demonstrable experience of IT Audit or Information Security Analyst experience at a medium / large sized company
- Understanding of legislative frameworks and appropriate audit responses to such frameworks
- Ability to manage small projects
- Degree or relevant equivalent experience
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
- Any security accreditations either current or being worked towards CCNA &/or CompTIA Security+
