Credit Derivatives Business Analyst for a
6 monthcontract based in
London (2/3 days in the office).


Job description - the role

Purpose of the Role:

The role is for a Business Analyst with experience of delivering projects through the full systems development lifecycle.

You will work as part of a team to progress primarily small enhancements and minor projects with some exposure possible to one of severallarger re-engineering projects at different points in their lifecycle.

The prime activities involve maintaining and implementing workflows to support trading, operational processing, clearing and reporting of Credit Derivatives.

Additional projects connected with on-going regulatory-driven changes are likely, along with discretionarysystem enhancements and re-engineering projects generated by organisational evolution.


As a Credit Derivatives Business Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Capture explicit and implicit requirements and define appropriate solutions, in combination with users, sponsors and the wider IT department.
  • Produce specifications at an appropriate level of detail.
  • Define and execute required tests, expected to be a significant part of the role.
  • Adapt solutions to the constraints of externally imposed deadlines.
  • Document solutions, train users and colleagues.
  • Present periodic status reviews to line management demonstrating evidence of a controlled and actively managed process (replanning, reestimating, controlling change).
  • Working knowledge of Credit Derivatives products and concepts.
  • Recent exposure to the trade processing lifecycle for fixed income OTC derivative products, including clearing and client clearing.
  • Experience with use of JIRA for work management.
  • Knowledge of XML concepts and capabilities.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience with capture and documenting user requirements, both explicit and implied.

Next steps

This client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
