Lead Specialist Taiwan

Full time, Permanent

Taipei City, Taiwan - with hybrid, flexible working

Role Purpose


James Fisher Renewables (JFR) in Taiwan require a dedicated HSEQ Manager to be responsible for establishing JFR's group HSEQ policies and procedures in Taiwan across our offices, warehouses, and operational sites.

Also supporting & advising on all health and safety matters for our multiple projects as we tender and execute.


Taking the responsibility for providing expert and professional advice and guidance to the site/project management on all health and safety issues, actively participating in and promoting the highest standard of health, safety, and environmental awareness both onshore & offshore.

Assisting in the development of a strong and forward-thinking health and safety culture within the business.


Principal Accountabilities

  • Ensure that all assets under management adhere to statutory requirements for Health, Safety, and Environmental performance and comply with Countryspecific legal requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and execute the (Q)HSE Management Strategy.
  • Role model a safety culture that promotes effective management of HSE, and monitors and evaluates employees' and contractor employees' HSE performance.
  • Develop, implement, and execute QA/HSE management systems and reporting systems including project / sitespecific instructions and procedures.
  • Manage the HSE performance (regular reviews and meetings) of all contractors and service providers and own employees.
  • Develops and implements relevant project HSEQ documentation, including Emergency Response, ITP, As-Built documentation, and ensure that this is in compliance with the HSEQ Management System.
  • Provide regular (Q)HSE reporting to the Operations Manager / Director; liaise with the client on project HSEQ matters, including chairing regular HSEQ engagement meetings.
  • Carry out operational and project HSEQ audits / Site Visits, preparation of projectspecific audit schedules and terms of reference where relevant, ensure recording of audit / Inspection and follow up to ensure effective closure of findings identified.
  • Attendance at Vessel mobilizations, presenting safety briefings and engaging in safety conversations with the vessel personnel.
  • Participation in HSEQ accident, incident and near miss investigation, identification of effective corrective and preventative action and ensuring RCA has been established and that these are tracked to closure.

  • Relevant HSEQ qualifications
  • Ability to meet the requirements of GWO/O&G Offshore Medical and Survival Certificates.

Desirable

  • Background in Offshore EPC projects / operational startup of offshore windfarms/windfarm operations.
  • Other health and safety qualifications.
  • Operational Project/Site Experience. Profound knowledge of operational processes in operational wind farms.
