Lead Frontend Developer - Million user engagement platform

Are you a Lead Frontend Developer actively looking to work on a high scale platform? Do you want to work in a position where you can remain hands on but also be one of leaders from a technical perspective? If so, our client has the role for you


This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large and talented tech team working on a range of greenfield projects.

This business is working with some highly recognised enterprise level companies with staff numbers between 5000 and 40,000 employees.

The keyaim is to keep them connected which is more important than ever in the modern world of working from home.

The products are all brand new with a modern tech stack implementing lots of best practices. The apps are React SPAs with a multitude of backend services in Node.
JS all deployed through GitOps.

The Lead Frontend Developer will be responsible for a combination of the following duties:

  • Work in a talented cross-functional team to develop new user-facing features using TypeScript and ReactJS.
  • Contribute to shared UI library used by many engineering teams across the whole company.
  • Write automated unit tests and endtoend tests for your code and services.
  • Strong experience with React, you should have a solid understanding of how and why it uses a virtual DOM.
  • Experience using modern modular CSS strategies e.g styled components, emotion, etc
  • A high level understanding of how both React and browser internals work ensure the frontend stays performant and doesn't leak memory.
The salary for this position will be up to £110k + very competitive benefits. It is fully remote but there will be occasional travel to London.
