Recently named as one of Britain's 30 best places to eat, drink and stay, as published in The Times, this establishment can offer the right person a challenging and exciting role in an establishment where excellent food and customer service are expected from both the customers and owners alike.

A vacancy has arisen for a Housekeeper, working in the village of Elton, eight miles outside Peterborough.

The role

As a Housekeeper you will ensure that the restaurant, bar and guest rooms are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.

Main responsibilities

Vacuum and clean carpets, rugs and upholstery
Dust and polish furniture and fittings
Clean metal fixtures and fittings
Clean wash basins, mirrors, bath and showers
Wipe down glass surfaces
Make up beds and change linens
Wash windows as scheduled
Manage laundry
Iron and press clothing and linen
Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
Monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements
Clean by hand using approved cleaning substances
Empty bins
Collect plates/glasses from noncatering/venue areas
Polish and dusting of designated areas (which may include sanitary areas and associated facilities), using the necessary powered equipment
Work safely at all times and to report any potential hazards, faults or problems
Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
Check all appliances in rooms are in working order and notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
Stock and maintain room supplies
Inspect and turn mattresses regularly

The Person
At least 1 years of experience working in a bar or restaurant in a similar role.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

The ability to work flexible hours is a must as you will work various shifts, including work during evenings and weekends.

Working hours will be a minimum of 15 per week

Full UK driving licence required

Hourly rate - National Minimum Wage
