Job Description Summary:

Logistics Administrator is responsible checking that Export clearance information has been provided in line with UK Customs & ITC regulations.

Conducting audit functions and supporting shipping team with any administrative tasks


Reporting to the Dispatch Facilitator, Export Compliance Administrator is responsible for the compliance of all exports in line with HMRC regulations and GE's policies and procedures.


Essential Responsibilities:


  • Ensure the Export country compliance processes are followed
  • Work closely with Logistics Compliance Leader to develop processes to assure compliance with all country requirements
  • Verify shipping documentation is in line with HMRC export entry
  • Ensure record keeping is up to date and easily accessible
  • Raising of monthly HMRC reports
  • Awareness of operational metrics to assure compliance with all import / export procedures
  • Prepare / maintain reporting of current status/progress of all export activity
  • Monitor carrier performance through KPI's
  • Responsible for any other administrative duties and customer service as needed
  • Attend and support team daily operating rhythms with departmental concerns and present performance when required.
  • Support the shipping team if/when required

Qualifications / Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience in an import/export or logistics role would be highly advantageous however if you have administrative experience within a manufacturing environment we would be very interested in hearing from you
  • Confident and capable of working to deadlines
  • Ability to undertake basic calculations (ie. VAT and duty)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Interested in process simplification
