Description
The VAMCAST project is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research. The project is managed by Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust and Manchester Metropolitan University.


About the role:


The project aims to validate a communication screening tool designed to improve access to communication support for people with communication difficulties during mental capacity assessments.


The project will recruit participants who are stroke survivors living at home in the Greater Manchester area, stroke survivors in hospital, and health care professionals.

The successful applicant will be required to contribute to participant recruitment, data collection and analysis, and research dissemination activities.


The successful applicant will be managed by Mark Jayes but be required to work independently and remotely at times (for example, when collecting data in participants' homes).

Previous research experience is desirable.

Previous experience of working with people with communication difficulties is desirable.

Ability to drive, clean driving license and access to vehicle are essential.
