Fixed-term contract until 1 October 2023, 36.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE).


The University of Warwick is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Student Recruitment Officer within the Europe, Russia & Central Asia team.


Reporting to the Student Recruitment Regional Manager (Europe & Americas), the postholder will be required to work closely with other colleagues in the Europe & Americas team and focus on key markets within the region.


The role is key in supporting the University to achieve its student recruitment objectives and enrolment targets by taking a regional lead to student recruitment activity.

Working collaboratively, the post holder will continue to build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the region and deliver recruitment activity within the region.


This fixed term role may provide developmental opportunity to someone who is looking to further their experience in student recruitment at one of the leading Russell Group universities in the UK.

Committed to offering and recognising secondment opportunities, we welcome internal secondments with the view to returning to their substantive post at the end of the secondment period.

The post will require significant overseas travel.

JOB PURPOSE


Working closely with other Student Recruitment Officers and stakeholders across the university, the postholder will take specific responsibility for key markets within the Europe and Americas Team (most likely Southern Europe and Turkey).

Student Recruitment Officers are expected to provide customer service of the highest quality for all stakeholders including potential applicants and their supporters, academic staff, schools and colleges, agents and funding bodies.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
To plan and carry out student recruitment activity within designated regions or markets:

  • Organise and represent the University at exhibitions and other promotional events at schools, colleges, conferences, higher education fairs and agent exhibitions
  • Make public appearances and speak at events for prospective students and other stakeholders as required
  • Build relationships with external providers of students to the University including schools, colleges, agents, funding bodies and other Higher Education Institutions
  • Receive visitors from key markets, and work with the Events Team to organise appropriate visit programmes (prospective students, school teachers etc)
  • Monitor effectiveness of recruitment activity and make changes to plans where necessary.
  • Brief and make arrangements for other staff or student ambassadors/agents attending recruitment events within the market area of responsibility
To lead on planning and delivery of high standard student recruitment and conversion events in designated markets and liaise with colleagues across the university to build and deliver high quality applicant engagement and experience:

  • To work closely with the Development and Alumni Relations Office on engaging with alumni to support recruitment and conversion activities in the designated region
  • To work with student societies and obtain support for joint events to aid conversion activity.
  • To offer training and support to schools and agent networks within the markets
  • Provide support to other University recruitment activities such as open days, independent visits, school visits, as required
  • To contribute to the highest standards of customer service
  • Participate in digital recruitment activities as required e.g. live chats or webinars/videos.
Any other duties as required by the Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment, cognate with the areas listed above.
