The NHS Humber Teaching Trust is looking to recruit an Apprentice Procurement Administrator in our Procurement Team.


As a Trust, we see the value in supporting the development and progression of our people through apprenticeship pathways, combining vocational learning with on-the-job experience.


You will undertake a Level 4 (L4) qualification Commercial Procurement and Supply whilst you work closely with your new team to gain the essential skills, knowledge and behaviours for this new role.


The duration of this apprenticeship will be 2 years and on successful completion you will progress into a Band 3 role.


This apprenticeship covers the main procurement roles within the department and is structured to allow the apprentice to gain a wide a breadth of knowledge and skills as possible.

As the procurement team within the department work very closely with the contracting and financial services teams there will also be an opportunity to gain knowledge and skills within these areas, providing support as required.


  • Undertaking product sourcing, evaluation of supplier quotations, processing of purchase requisitions and placement of purchase orders for the Trust.
  • To ensure compliance with Trust policies and procedures and in accordance with standard financial instructions.
  • To contribute to achieving value for money for Trust purchases
  • Obtain and analyses low value quotes
  • Investigates enquiries and queries from suppliers, staff, customers and provides assistance and advice as required
