Description
Reporting to Production manager you will be responsible for all types of welding and fabrication work

The role will incorporate new installations, upgrades, repairs and decommissioning.

Your work will be to a high standard with a high degree of accuracy employing a right first-time philosophy


Responsibilities

  • Mig welding
  • Tig welding
  • Armour welding (desirable)
  • Reading drawings
  • Fabricating components
  • Fabricating assemblies
  • Measuring, cutting, developing,
  • Welding inspection
  • Dimensional checking etc.
  • Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
  • Follow engineering drawings
  • Follow manufactures installation instructions
  • Operate hand tools correctly
  • Operate power tools correctly
  • Undertake Repairs
  • Interpret reported defects and rectify
  • Completed work to the highest standard
  • Customer site visits as required
  • Site visit reports
  • Identify quality issues
  • Minimum 40 hours per week
  • Overtime as required
  • Over night stays, weekend work, evening work as required
  • Adheres to Health & Safety regulations
  • Daily cleans, tidies and organises all areas of the workshop
  • Any other work as requested by management that they deem suitable

Skills & Experience

  • Experience within the automotive industry preferable
  • Ability to read and understand engineering plans and technical drawings
  • Ability to work in a changing environment
