Description

The post holder helps the Trust meets its statutory obligations to safeguard and promote the welfare of all patients who access services from any hospital site within the Trust.

Ensures adult safeguardingprovision at the hospital continues to develop according to need and is delivered with an evidence based patient care centred approach.


The post holder will be a visible presence in clinical areas to provide specialist advice on managing adult safeguarding matters to ensure they are able to identify and make timely safeguarding referrals when theyarise.

The post holder will participate in and lead on the development and review of safeguarding training packages.


Contribute to the development of effective inter-disciplinary and interagency relationships to improve outcomes for adults who are identified to be at risk of Abuse and Neglect.

They will represent the Trust,when required by the Safeguarding Specialist Nurse Lead - Adults, to work with multi-agencies to coordinate the adult safeguarding procedure and report compilation
