Part Time (min 22.5 hours) or Full Time hours

Based in West Hertfordshire HQ with some travel to other offices


After a period of collaborating successfully on a number of projects, two key charities that offer a range of services across Herts and Bucks are merging.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the HR team to take a lead in managing the HR implicationsof the merger process and supporting employees dealing with change that comes with merger.


What you'll be responsible for:


  • Taking a lead on the work that has started to define existing terms & conditions (T&C's) for employees, putting forward recommendations to align T&C's, preparing consultation announcements and FAQ's in line with employment law and in particular TUPE regulations
  • Working with Directors/Department Heads in respect of consultations for their teams, providing advice and guidance
  • Leading with individual and group consultations
  • Working collaboratively across all departments to develop effective working relationships, providing support and guidance to line managers in their people management responsibilities
  • Supporting employees to manage and embrace change within their teams
  • Leading on other HR projects to successful completion and within budget

Main Skills and Experience required:


  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Proven experience of working effectively in a HR role managing large scale consultations and complex employee relations issues
  • Ability to build positive working relationships
  • Experience of data analysis to draw conclusions/make recommendations, particularly around consultations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/365 (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work accurately and with attention to detail
  • Good judgement and decisionmaking skills
  • Professional and effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Proven experience of working within a highly confidential environment
