The Tate Modern objective is to achieve the highest standard of content and delivery in its programme - the foundation of which is based on wide international project development and exhibition exchanges and tours.
The registrar team within the Tate Modern Division is responsible for the management and co-ordination of loaned artworks across Tate Modern's temporary exhibitions, displays, international exhibition tours, live performance and film programme.
You will have substantial experience of working on temporary exhibitions, liaising effectively with colleagues and external contacts within a gallery/museum or similar environment.
You will have experience of arranging Government Indemnity and commercial fine art insurance, with extensive experience of international fine art transportation, museum standards and experience of negotiating loans and associated contracts.
You will understand Tate's commitment to reduce its carbon impact and offer innovative solutions in relation to art transport and packing.
You will have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, whilst being flexible and providing creative solutions to problems.
It's vital that you are an impeccable organiser with the excellent communication, team-work and brilliant diplomatic skills needed to carry out challenging loan negotiations.
Strong IT and database skills are a must, and you'll also need a detailed eye for budgets.- Our jobs are like our galleries, open to all_
