Fixed-Term, 1 year:

Across various College sites

Key Responsibilities:

To provide onetoone or small group support under lecturer direction as appropriate in the classroom setting.
To assist with the development of learners' literacy and numeracy skills.
To assist with the pastoral care needs of learners and to direct learners to other college support mechanisms as necessary.
To provide learners with help in understanding oral and written instruction.
To assist with the coordination of learners' work, record keeping and progress through liaison with lecturing and support staff at all levels within the College.
To attend and participate in learner reviews and team meetings as required.
To support learners with the use of assistive technology and specialist software and actively promote its use.

About you:

Maths and English GCSEs: A
C Grade or equivalent
Experience of working with young people in a similar job role
Good understanding of safeguarding and supporting learners with additional needs
Confident, resilient, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
