Avaliable Positions:


  • Fixed-Term, 1 year:
hours per week (term-time, 36 weeks per annum)

Key Responsibilities:


  • To provide onetoone or small group support under lecturer direction as appropriate in the classroom setting.
  • To assist with the development of learners' literacy and numeracy skills.
  • To assist with the pastoral care needs of learners and to direct learners to other college support mechanisms as necessary.
  • To provide learners with help in understanding oral and written instruction.
  • To assist with the coordination of learners' work, record keeping and progress through liaison with lecturing and support staff at all levels within the College.
  • To attend and participate in learner reviews and team meetings as required.
  • To support learners with the use of assistive technology and specialist software and actively promote its use.

About you:


  • Maths and English GCSEs: A
  • C Grade or equivalent
  • Experience of working with young people in a similar job role
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and supporting learners with additional needs
  • Confident, resilient, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
