Accumix Concrete specialises in supplying ready-mixed concrete. There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our team.

The Finance Assistant will provide accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and support the Finance Manager with the management and implementation of all financial systems and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of financial activities.

This is a full time position offering a salary based on experience. The successful applicant will be very professional, commercially aware, cost conscious and well organised.

The role will see you get involved with a range of management accounting duties including:

• Directing and processing creditor and debtor administration in line with established financial procedures.
• Updating accounting ledgers with processed financial data relating to debtor, creditor and nominal transactions.
• Assisting the Management Accountant in the production of Management Accounts
• Monitoring adherence to financial procedures.
• Raising purchase orders, matching and coding appropriately.
• Processing of purchase invoices.
• Credit Control
• Any other such duties commensurate with the scale and nature of the post, as may be required

Key Skills

• Experience of SAGE 50 Cloud Accounts Professional software is essential
• Excellent IT skills with experience of working with Microsoft Office packages Word, Outlook and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Accurate data entry skills
• Ability to prioritise work in order to meet deadlines
• Ability to analyse, investigate and resolve queries
• Selfmotivated and determined to succeed
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
• Friendly, proactive and flexible team member

Qualifications

• Essential_: Minimum education level for English and Maths GCSE Grades A-C or equivalent
• Preferred_: Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT)
• Minimum Level 1 or studying towards
