Junior Actuary Analyst

DURATION:

LOCATION:
Southampton (hybrid role with the expectation of at least 1 day in the office)

Responsibilities:

Supporting the Group and regulatory financial reporting requirements as part of the actuarial team.

Supporting the production of management and regulatory reports.

Helping to maintain and develop a controlled working environment that complies with our agreed internal standards, regulatory requirements, and other professional guidance/code.

Taking accountability for the accuracy and quality of work by following control processes and performing reasonableness/sense checking.

Relationship building with other teams within Finance and providing support to ensure that key deadlines are met.

Keeping aware of the implications of any changing regulations or business on our reporting processes and will update existing processes as necessary to allow for any regulatory or business changes.

Ensuring the reporting process documents are up-to-date and supporting the improvement of existing processes and procedures, to enhance both efficiency and quality of output.

Demonstrating corporate values and being aware of your personal impact on other team members and customers.

Knowledge of Solvency 2 or Unit linked insurance products.

Advanced excel skills and good with pivot tables.

Strong attention to detail and self-motivated.

18 months experience in actuary.
