_About the Department:

The Finance and Planning department is responsible for leading on the annual finance and planning cycles including supporting staff in financial and student number forecasting and reporting; preparing returns to regulatory bodies; financial analysis to support decision-making, investment appraisal and performance benchmarking; audited statutory accounts; processing and maintenance of the School's financial receipts and payments; compliance with internal financial controls and tax legislation; and procurement.

The principal financial software is Agresso Business World (Unit4).


_About the __Role _**We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to be our lead finance professional providing support to an Academic College. The FBP will work in a cluster alongside HR, Planning and IT business partners, while reporting to the Head of Finance Business Partnering in the central Finance and Planning Directorate.


The role will be a combination of remote work and on-site, with a minimum of 3 days per week at the SOAS campus.

We are looking for an individual who has previous experience of collaborating with key stakeholders to influence their points across.

You must have a strong background in finance with good communication and organisational skills in order to meet deadlines set.

Experience managing complex projects would be an asset. Experience in Higher education would be good, but it is not essential to the role.
