    Our client, a leading multinational media and technology company, is seeking an experienced Privacy Counsel to join their global legal team.

    This role offers a unique opportunity to work on the privacy elements of innovative AI products and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address privacy challenges across EMEA and APAC.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide legal counsel on GDPR, ePrivacy, and APAC privacy regulations, ensuring compliance with evolving requirements.
    • Develop and maintain the company's global privacy program and advise on privacy risks and mitigation strategies.
    • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate privacy-by-design principles.
    • Draft and implement policies to promote data privacy and security, and conduct training for employees.
    • Monitor and advise on privacy legislation developments and represent the company in discussions with regulators.
    • Manage data breach responses and lead privacy impact assessments for high-risk data processing activities.

    Qualifications:

    • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with 6+ years PQE.
    • Strong knowledge of GDPR, ePrivacy, and APAC focused privacy frameworks (preferable).
    • Experience advising on AI and technology-related privacy issues and supporting B2B product lines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a solution-oriented mindset.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or equivalent certification.
    • Familiarity with/an interest in AI systems, data analytics, and software development processes.
    • In-house counsel experience in the technology or media sector would be a bonus.
