Activities coordinator -

A great opportunity has arisen in our warm and caring Care Home in Hamilton, Scotland for a flexible and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our friendly team.

We offer competitive rates of pay. We will require someone who is willing to work any day during the week

Are you reliable? Do you have a 'can do' attitude?
If yes, then we want you to consider a secondment into the activities coordinator's post What this means is the successful person will have to

Have experience into the activity's coordinator role
Plan activities for your secondment a minimum of 2 weeks in advance
The working hours of work will be 7 hours paid per day, not including 30 mins break
Hours will be flexible, including weekends and alternate between early and late shifts in accordance with planned activities

Requirements:

Good communication skills. Both verbal and written.
Resourcefulness
Ability to coordinate and conduct activities.
Creativity and use of initiative.
Ability to make decisions.
Ability to be organized and efficient.

Duties and Responsibilities

Positive attitude and ability to communicate at all levels.
Assess and encourage resident's needs and develop resident's activity's goal for the written care plans on PCS
Plan daytime and evening activity sessions on PCS
Coordinate the activities program with other residents in the facility
Encourage resident participation in activities and document outcomes
Engage with staff to ensure delivery of planned activities.
Maintain an awareness of the Health and Safety requirements.
