These are very popular posts based at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor in North Wales, combining sessions in pre-hospital emergency medicine, transfer and retrieval, anaesthesia and critical care.

Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine

Intensive Care Unit

  • Fellows will be on the resident oncall rota covering an 8 bedded intensive care unit and will be expected to have sufficient experience to do overnight oncall with remote supervision and supervise junior colleagues.
Anaesthesia

  • Fellows will also spend time on theatre lists which will be tailored to their needs


The post is designed to provide equivalent experience to a Deanery post: all doctors will be entitled to the same teaching and training opportunities as a deanery trainee.

Previous successful applicants have negotiated with their deanery for some of the post to count as out of programme training.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
