Various hours P/T (Waking Watch and weekend daytime hours) Personal Assistants - Lancaster:
Do you have an interest in supporting people to lead an ordinary life? Do you have a passion for helping someone to maintain their independence?


The job:


  • We are looking to recruit part time Personal Care assistants to support a gentleman who lives in his own home. This exciting role is to provide support to enable him to manage his daily life, which will include providing support with personal and health care needs. He has a range of complex medical conditions which means he needs 24/7 support to ensure he is safe and well.
  • An essential part of the support is his assistance dog. Your role would be to support him to take care of his dog.

The right person:

It is not essential that you have experience in care and support but you must have common sense. Experience of supporting someone with diabetes would be advantageous.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and willing to learn You will receive full training in all aspects of the clinical duties required.

Applicants need to be qualified drivers with access to a vehicle for work purposes.

You will work alongside the gentleman, his family, the existing team and trained healthcare professionals who will provide full support during induction and training in all aspects of clinical and other duties.

You will work in the family home on a 1:1 basis with the gentleman.


The hours:


Part time posts are available, the employer is willing to be very flexible, but a combination of waking watch hours (7.00pm-8.00am) and weekend daytime hours (8.00am-7.

00pm) are required
- £12.02 per hour

  • You will receive 5.6 weeks paid annual leave
