SF Recruitment are currently supporting a client based in Birmingham City centre who are looking for a HR Advisor with payroll experience for a period of 6 months.


Pay rate:
£13.00 per hour

Hybrid - 2 days on site 3 days from home.

  • To manage the HR transactional activity relating to the complete employee lifecycle within agreed SLA's
  • To act as firstline support on all HR related employee queries and escalate where appropriate to the Assistant HR Business Partners
  • To provide advice and guidance to managers and colleagues on aspects of HR policy and practice
  • To respond to questions regarding terms and conditions including pay, holiday and other forms of leave, flexible working requests, long term sickness, changes to benefits, exit process, etc
  • To manage the administration of projects in the annual employee life cycle e.g. Administration of PDR process, Administration of Pensions Enrolment, Flexible Benefits Enrolment
  • To maintain accurate and up to date employee records including the filing and administration of files and ensure compliance with data processing legislation and retention schedules
  • To maintain HR systems including cleansing of data, audits, user acceptance testing in upgrades and systems training
  • To produce Management Information on a monthly basis and ad hoc requests for reports
  • Manage administration of payroll ready for onward transmission to third party payroll provider

This includes:
- take-on details from HR in a timely manner for standard data changes in current month. Input variable monthly data (overtime, TRA's, etc.,) checking in line with policy and relevant authorisations
- work with third party payroll provider producing monthly change file, returning 1st stage payroll for any corrections after checking

  • On receipt of final payroll from third party payroll provider advise payroll signatory so that payroll can be authorised to release payments to staff, board members and 3rd party providers
- run monthly absence report via AMS module of PSE, which will populate variable data on payroll. This will be part of change report for payroll provider
- act as an intermediary between staff and the payroll provider for payroll related queries
