Production Operative needed (Electrical Bias)

My client has been working alongside an international network of clients, partners and suppliers to develop aluminium-based solutions for retail environments, exhibition spaces and commercial interiors for over 30 years.

Together, the team combine precision manufacturing with LED lighting technologies to create an ever-growing range of standard, customisable and bespoke product that are optimised to meet customer's needs.

(Production Operative (Electrical Bias) - Position Overview

This is a semiskilled role that holds the responsibility of manufacturing products required for modular office structures.
You will be responsible for achieving specifications as instructed, to be accountable for all work undertaken as directed.
Safe material handling onto and off machines including storage ready for production.
Ensure required daily maintenance of machinery is carried out as required and advise supervisor of any issues immediately.
Checking for electrical faults
Wiring finished products
Checking/packing of components
Maintain professional standards of appearance, manner, discipline and work
Work to a production schedule and ensure deadline are maintained
Maintain good levels of communication with team leaders/supervisors to ensure projects are on time, within budget and to scope especially in relation to components, materials and drawing specifications.

Highly motivated for the delivery of accurate and highquality work
Ability to plan and organise own workloads
Ability to work to deadlines
Works effectively and calmly under pressure
Work effectively with other areas of the company
Personable, with good verbal communication skills
Work effectively as part of a team
Ability to read basic production drawings
Willing and able to learn new practical skills
The job is of physical nature so a certain level of physical fitness is required
Flexibility to work overtime as and when requested/required
Fork lift licence (desirable not essential)
