Project Overview:


Bechtel Cavendish Nuclear Solutions (BCNS) is a joint venture between Bechtel Ltd and Cavendish Nuclear Ltd, working since 2011 to deliver the Pile Fuel Cladding Silo Retrievals (PFCS) Project alongside and on behalf of the client; Sellafield Ltd.

The Pile Fuel Cladding Silo is a Legacy and Pond Silo facility.

As part of the client's hazard and risk reduction programme, the PFCS project was tasked to successfully deliver plant and equipment capable of accessing the historic waste, removing it and transferring it into containers for safe interim storage.

Using a 'fit for purpose' model and operating in close collaboration with Sellafield Ltd, a solution was delivered that met the functional requirements by the most efficient means.

The contract is now in the third phase (Full Retrievals), which involves further modifications to the silo to enable the eventual installation of the second set of retrievals equipment (currently sitting at Rosyth), along with various productivity enhancements to the existing equipment.

This work is likely to continue at least into 2025.

The role will be based primarily at the site at Sellafield, Cumbria, UK however travel to Rosyth in support of Integrated Testing and training, works testing across the UK, and Warrington head office may also be required.

Site-based personnel usually work compressed hours Mon-Thu. Flexible working arrangements will be considered. Various shift patterns may be required to support project delivery.


Position Summary:


The Document Controller will provide a service to effectively support activities related to both document and information management and assist in ensuring quality and security aspects of document information management is maintained.

The DC may be required to travel between work sites if requested whilst providing support to the Project in relation to the following:


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborative working with and amongst different stakeholder teams.
  • Support the delivery of document management processes appropriate for each category and classification of document/drawing to ensure effective control and management of documents.
  • Routine document management activities such as publishing, generating reports, generating, and issuing transmittals, library management, etc.
  • Support guidance to project teams on best practice document management, and appropriate use of information systems.
  • Support the Management and continuously improve the approach to monitoring and maintaining accuracy, alignment, and quality of meta data, and to improvements to processes where appropriate.
  • Support the development and implementation of work processes to collect, organise, and deliver data to support project completion.
  • Support the oversight and assurance on subcontractor information processes to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Support the production of dashboards and reports.
  • Take necessary care to properly protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of project documents from unauthorised disclosure, modification, or destruction. Never knowingly put Client's information or information systems at risk
  • Good understanding of SharePoint and the associated Document Library types
  • Flexibility to learn Project Document Management Systems.

Qualifications & Skills:


Essential:


  • Demonstrable experience in performing in document management role as well as the ability to demonstrate intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years projectbased experience performing document/records management with focus on maintaining data and information integrity. Experience must have been obtained within the past 8 years.
  • At least 2year current experience in a similar project environment, preferably obtained within the past 5 years.
  • Previous experience with data analysis and metadata management
