Description

Conference Producer

Benchmark Mineral Intelligence is the world's leading market intelligence publisher for the lithium ion battery to electric vehicle supply chain.

Our company is in hyper-growth mode, welcoming new team members from around the world.

We are hiring a Conference Producer to join our expanding global events business based in Central London.

This year, Benchmark's Battery Gigafactories series and flagship Benchmark Week returned to live with sold-out events held in Berlin, Washington DC, Western Australia and Los Angeles.

Our speakers this year included U.S.

Senators, Tesla & other EV company co-founders, and other high-profile business leaders from across the energy, automotive and mining industries.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Event Content & Experience, you will support and eventually lead the process of designing, developing, and delivering event content.

While working to tight deadlines, across multiple events, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with inhouse thought leaders and speaking with industry experts to identify the market trends and hot topics
  • Writing compelling commercial copy and drawing up thought provoking programmes that offer interactive and innovative content sharing and networking opportunities
  • Securing high profile, hard to reach speakers, using clear, convincing, and persistent written and verbal communications
  • Preparing speakers, panellists, and moderators for the event, keeping detailed notes, and updating relevant documents and databases
  • Traveling to deliver events, working with design and technical teams to prepare the stage settings and provide a smooth run of show
  • Building your network, personal brand, and industry relationships to develop new opportunities for the events team and wider business

Requirements:

  • A strong entrepreneurial spirit that's tenacious, adaptable and positive
  • Confident communicator, commercially astute with first class research, analytical and written skills
  • Outgoing and approachable, with a collaborative attitude that contributes to discussions and supports your colleagues
  • Detail orientated and able to manage multiple projects using strong organisational and time management skills

This role might suit someone who has gained some conference production experience but would like to take the next step in their career by working on large, high quality and high profile, international events.

We pay more attention to an applicant's attitude and behaviour, their willingness to collaborate, support and work with others to continue to advance Benchmark and its growing success.

We offer a competitive salary, a flexible approach to working, great training and support, exciting international travel opportunities and career development opportunities in a hyper growth business.

We also have a fun work culture with regular social events.
