European Nutritionist
The purpose of the role


Responsibilities:


  • Actively participate in the Global Nutrition Team and serve on relevant Global and European working Groups.
  • Coordinate and align with Global Nutrition Director and Global Nutrition Science team on corporate nutrition strategy to ensure consistent delivery of nutrition communications, programs and actions.
  • Provide direct guidance to Europe & Africa R&D teams on product development initiatives and opportunities to promote optimal, credible, and appropriate nutritional attributes to customers.
  • Lead the development and execution of the European nutrition strategy, including implementation of regional nutrition profiling initiatives.
  • Lead implementation of regional nutrition education.
  • Lead and direct external collaboration with regionally relevant nutrition organizations and resources.
  • Stay informed about relevant nutrition science, consumer and marketplace trends and nutrition policy insights relevant to the region, and share key messages, implications and recommendations with crossfunctional peers.
  • Support commercial teams by developing, delivering and/or reviewing customerfocused communications regarding nutrition topics and Griffith product solutions.
  • Leverage nutrition science and communication resources from the Global Nutrition Team.
  • Support regional achievement of H&N goals through internal education, project recommendations, monitoring and regular communications.
  • Identify key regional external nutrition partnerships for ongoing engagement and learning (academia, professional organizations, committees, etc.).
  • Lead the delivery of internal education and knowledge sharing for key regional functions including R&D, business development, regulatory, etc.
  • Represent Griffith Foods at regional nutrition science and trade associations through working group participation, and through participation in scientific meetings.
  • Work with independence, exercising ingenuity and judgment in the approach to and accomplishment of our initiatives, actions and tasks.
  • Manage multiple priorities and timelines. Uses strong technical, problem solving and leadership skills to approach complex projects.
  • Communicate internally with other departments to exchange technical information and project timelines.
  • Communicate progress of all projects by leveraging project management methods and processes to monitor progress and success.
  • Communicate and coordinate updates to all relevant members throughout the globe (includes hosting multiple time zone meetings to allow global participation and efficient transfer of information).
  • Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the security of all information regarding product formulas, processing and related company intellectual property
  • Proactively and visibly support the Health and Safety standards, rules and regulations of the organization
  • Be an ambassador for the GF Purpose & Values

Requirements:


  • MS in Nutrition Science. Registered Dietitian or equivalent preferred.
10+ years overall experience, ideally with 3+ years within the food industry.
Demonstrated experience in science communications and external relations and familiarity/experience with food regulations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills locally, regionally and globally
English speaking and writing required
Knowledge of local and regional food systems and healthy food equity.
Experience with nutritional analysis of recipes and formulations.
Creativity, critical thinking and an influencer.
Global experience is a plus.
Must be willing and able to travel 20-30%.
