Production Team leader

Due to promotion, our client is looking for a dynamic and pro active individual, who is looking for a hands on leader role in a manufacturing environment.

Working Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm rotating weekly, you will work alongside the shift manager and quality engineer on a daily basis.

As a Production Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of all products in the facility. You will ensure that production standards are met and that quality and freshness standards are maintained.

You will also assist in the recruitment and hiring of new production team members, deal with queries from staff and appraisals/disciplinaries.

This is a hands on role, and part of your working day will include quality control/visual inspection of parts made by the production team/machine operatives.

Qualifications:

12 years of production experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, as well as as ability to lift up to 75 pounds on occasion when needed
Must be able to follow instructions and read instructions on paper as well as watch videos to better understand processes and how it pertains to how to operate machinery
Must be able to follow directions from a shift manager and work as part of a team
Must be able to follow all safety rules and not create any dangerous situations or situations where dangerous situations occur more often than not
Ability to work overtime when needed and/or extended hours when needed
