Are you a Level 3 teaching assistant looking for career development and a new challenge in a new role? Do you have a passion for supporting SEN pupils? Then read on.

We are currently recruiting for dynamic SEN HLTA's/ for a specialist secondary SEN school in South East London.

You will be required to support and teach pupils with ASD, speech and language difficulties, severe developmental delay and complex needs.

This is a class based role & you will be required to work Monday to Friday, term time only.

We are looking for a dynamic SEN HLTA that is;

  • Able to coteach, lead and support pupils under the guidance of the teacher
  • Direct the work of other LSA's when required
  • Able to consistently engage pupils patiently through praise, direction and individual support.
  • You should have a minimum of 1 years experience as a teaching assistant
  • You should hold a Level 3 teaching assistant qualification (OR hold an equivalent childcare qualification/ or have a diploma/ degree with relevant experience)
  • Experience of supporting SEN pupils within either a mainstream or SEN school
  • Following a successful 12 week placement through SEN Central you will have the opportunity to interview for a full time position at the school
  • Full time salary (£21k to£28K dependent on experience and qualifications)

Our client is a specialist SEN school supporting SEN pupils age Pupils have complex, low incidence special educational needs.
The school offers a number of enrichment programmes and activities for pupils. The school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and is very well resourced and managed. You will be joining a committed and talented team.

£87.00-£110.00 per day
