Background:
The Foundation engages in a number of activities which include 1) providing different psychotherapy training opportunities, in the form of workshops, webinars, conferences and extended training (such as Diploma in Compassion Focused Therapy); 2) conducting and supporting international research projects; 3) supporting international initiatives in the promotion of compassion science to various social and political issues; 4) liaising with international trainers and collaborators to deliver training in Compassionate Focused Therapy and Compassionate Mind Training.
Main duties
- Responsibilities will include: _
- Completing sales ledgers, raising invoices, processing purchase orders and booking forms.
- Posting purchase invoices on Xero and providing a payment list to the Finance and Operations Manager.
- Helping chase outstanding invoices.
- Processing orders through Xero and Eventbrite
- Supporting bank reconciliations including Eventbrite order reconciliations.
- Processing refunds, credit notes and transfers on Eventbrite and Xero.
- Supporting the Finance and Operations Manager with budgets and reports.
- Supporting any adhoc finance, administrative and operational tasks.
- Assisting with the ongoing development of the Foundation and support other members of staff where appropriate.
- Working with the activities of the Foundation in a confidential manner.
Skills and Requirements
- Essential Finance qualification is required, AAT to degree qualified.
- Proven experience in an administrative and finance background (minimum 2 years' experience).
- Relevant experience of office management systems and procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office including Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Knowledge and experience of using various software and webbased platforms (Desirable
- Friendly and with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise work.
- Ability to take on own initiative and work independently.
- Attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and independently.
- Offer appropriate support to other team members as required.
- A genuine interest and commitment to the aims of the Foundation.

Hours:
Part time (Min. 15 hours)
Location:
Compassionate Mind Foundation office, Derby city centre and ability work (remotely at times)
Hourly rate:
£12.00 per hour
Employment Term:
Fixed Term 6 months (3 months probationary period) - with a possibility of extension.
