Finance Manager

Leicestershire
Our client is a highly successful niche business, seeking to recruit a Finance Manager

**Job Purpose

  • To provide guidance and support to Senior Management and the Boardof the Company
  • To contribute to the growth and strategy of the Company
**Main Duties

  • Compliance with UK GAAP and other legal requirements
  • Internal controls
  • Banking and external finance functions
  • Adhoc projects
  • KPI's
  • Other duties as may be required, such as preparation of, or overseeing, the accounts of other Group companies
  • Playing an active role as part of the senior management team of the Company and contributing to the development of strategic and business plans
  • Management of accounting and administration staff
  • Internal audit
  • Responsible for the review and production of monthly management accounts including WIP analysis
  • Yearend statutory accounting processes
  • Oversee monthly and weekly payroll
  • Oversee Purchase ledger payment runs
  • Liaison with external accountants, tax advisors and other professionals
  • HR matters
  • Liaison with bank, invoice finance and HP lender
  • Budget and forecasts
  • Company secretary duties
  • Oversee credit control functions
  • Continually improvement of systems and procedures
  • Standard Costing and variance analysis
  • Provide advice on investments, disposals and business improvement projects
  • IT systems and MIS systems development
**Experience Required

  • Qualified or Part-Qualified accountant
  • Previous people management experience
  • Experience dealing with banks, external accountants, HMRC etc.
  • Budgeting and cash flow forecasting experience
  • Good understanding of MRP/ERP systems
  • Preferably experience with SME businesses
**Salary range £45K to £60K
